So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Administering Yammer
Yammer is an enterprise social platform acquired by Microsoft in 2012 and integrated into the Office 365 platform. An enterprise social platform, unlike other social platforms, is a platform used by enterprises or businesses to share ideas and information and communicate, mainly internally. An enterprise social platform is very much like the Facebook social platform in feel and functionality, with @ mentions and the ability to like.
In this chapter, we will be looking at administering Yammer. We are going to explore:
- A general overview of Yammer
- Administering via the Yammer and Office 365 admin centers
- Administering via PowerShell
