Safe links
The safe links policy scans links present in email and documents in Office products such as Word, Excel, or PowerPoint (and, on Windows machines only, Visio). It blocks users from being able to click through to malicious websites, spoofed websites, and websites that you, as the administrator, have added to a block list.
The way it works is by rewriting URLs on the fly, so that Microsoft can inspect them for malicious content. If there is no such content, the user is smoothly redirected to the original location. If there is potentially suspicious content, the user is redirected to a warning message.
