Conventions Used in This Book

The following typographical conventions are used throughout this book:

Italic

Used for commands, URLs, filenames, file extensions, command-line utilities, directory and folder names, and UNC pathnames, as well as new terms where they are defined.

Constant width

Used for anything that appears in a ColdFusion template, including CFML and HTML tags and attributes, variables, and functions. Also used for code listings.

Constant-width italic

Used as general placeholders to indicate that an item should be replaced by some actual value in your own program.
