Synopsis

                  DeleteClientVariable("variable")

Deletes the specified client variable (where the variable name is in double quotes). Returns true if successful. The following example creates a client variable, attempts to delete it, and reports whether it was successful (the example assumes you have client variables turned on in the ColdFusion Administrator and that a valid Application.cfm file exists in the directory containing the example):

<cfset Client.MyVar="This is a client variable">

<cfoutput>#Client.MyVar#</cfoutput><p>

<cfset DeleteClientVariable("MyVar")>

<cfif IsDefined('Client.MyVar')>
Couldn't delete the client variable.
<cfelse>
Client variable deleted.
</cfif>
