I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
History tracking on standard objects
History tracking supports both standard and custom objects. But not all standard objects are supported by field tracking; only the following standard objects support history tracking: Accounts, Articles, Assets, Campaigns, Cases, Contacts, Contracts, Contract Line Items, Entitlements, Leads, Opportunities, Orders, Order Products, Products, Service Contracts, and Solutions.
To enable history tracking on a standard object, such as Account, perform these steps:
- Navigate to Setup | Object and Fields | Object Manager | Accounts | Fields & Relationships, and click on the Set History Tracking button.
- Check the Enable Account History checkbox.
- Select the fields you want to track.
