Project management and planning support the execution of each of the increments of development delivery. Before the increment can start, the objectives, resources, plans, etc. need to be agreed; this is the enabling phase. During the execution phase of the increment, the work is undertaken and progress against the plan is tracked. Should problems occur, then the enabling activity is revisited to adjust the process, the increments, and/or the resources.
The main deliverables from this workflow are:
project plan
risk register
project statistics and metrics.
