Incremental development
The execution of a software development project is in a series of increments, so that deliverables are created in a controlled, phased manner and 'big-bang' impacts are avoided. Incremental development is one of the key cornerstones of Select Perspective. The execution of a project is undertaken as a series of increments, each typically of six to ten weeks duration.
The project itself has its own objectives that it must fulfill; these act to define how the project will be delivered. From the project objectives, more specific objectives can be defined for each increment. Work within the increment is planned so as to fulfill the objectives by creating the required deliverables.
