I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Use of patterns
Patterns are akin to recipes, and can be applied to many modeling problems. Each pattern is expressed in abstract terms, together with examples, which make its intent apparent.
The pattern is applied to the model by taking the elements of the pattern and reinterpreting them in the light of the modeling context. In the simplest cases, only more specific names need be given to the items in the pattern. More complex cases may require the structure of the pattern to be altered before it can be successfully applied to the model.
A more recent development in the patterns arena is the creation of anti-patterns. Patterns describe ideas that are beneficial, that will make a positive contribution to the project outcome. In contrast, anti-patterns ...
