Application assemblers
Application assembly relates to the physical implementation of the MDA 'platform-independent component view', or the Select Perspective 'business architecture'. This should be a relatively non-technical task that can be automated with tools such as Web Gain's Application Composer and Wilde Technologies. The intention for tools in this domain is to empower business specialists to compose applications from components built by software specialists. This is probably the most immature area of tooling within the CBD arena, but we expect to see a lot more tools available over the coming years.
