It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
6.17 INVERSE z-TRANSFORM
We have already studied z-transform as well as its properties. It is true that we need to transfer the signal to z-domain and after that we should get it back in time domain. Using inverse z-transform we can convert the signal from z-domain to time domain. To get inverse z-transform, the following three methods are used:
- Contour integration
- Partial fraction expansion
- Power series expansion
The contour integration is the basic method to get the inverse z-transform. The inversion formula based on contour integration is
