46. SHOOT A TIME-LAPSE VIDEO
SLOW MOTION EXTENDS our perception of time, making motion appear much slower than normal. Time-lapse, on the other hand, does just the opposite: it compresses time and allows you to record a video that presents the passage of time at a much faster rate than normal. The Time-lapse mode is great for recording changes that occur over a long period of time, such as clouds moving over the landscape, traffic rushing by on the freeway, or capturing a clip that compresses a long car trip into less than a minute (Figure 46.1).
