Business schools may be able to reduce the stress and anxiety. By adjusting their curriculum and teaching methods, they can help students become more adept at dealing with ambiguous situations. For one thing, they can tone down their emphasis on teamwork and collaborative decision making. They can also assign students more open-ended projects with fewer instructions and less clear-cut outcomes.
Traditional business case studies could provide students with a rich opportunity for creative thinking to resolve prickly management problems.
