Most things can be animated sufficiently well on double frames “twos” to make the added expense of single frames unnecessary. Sometimes an effect does not work when double-framing is used and then the extra drawings must be done. It is dangerous to animate on double frames during a table move “pan” and/or camera track “zoom” or “truck.” These moves are usually done on single frames for smoothness and the combination of doubles and singles can produce effects of “jitter.” Animation done on pegs which move on single frames “ones” must also be animated on single frames.
