Chapter 8. VRRP Configuration and CRAFT PERSON INTERFACE
The command-line interface (CLI), also known as the craft person interface, is the interface to the software that is in ASCII format and can be used whenever a network element such as a router or switch is accessed via console or via a remote network connection such as Telnet or Secure Shell (SSH). The CLI, which often automatically starts after the network element finishes booting, provides commands used to perform various tasks, including configuring the network element's hardware, software, protocols, monitoring, troubleshooting, and network connectivity on a per network element basis.
