Discard Eligibility (DE)

Description
This command defines packets that are eligible for discard during times of congestion on a Frame Relay switch. Packets matched by this list have the “discard eligible” bit set in the Frame Relay header.

list-number An identifying number. This number identifies the list when it is referenced by other commands, particularly
frame-relayde-group. A DE list may be defined by severalframe-relayde-liststatements with the same number.-
protocoltype Specifies the protocol of the packets to be selected by this list. Possible values are
arp,apollo,appletalk,bridge,clns,clns_es,clns_is,compressedtcp,decnet,ip,ipx,vines, andxns.-
interfacetype number Specifies the interface of packets to be selected for the list; that is, you can specify that all traffic coming through a certain interface should be marked as discard-eligible. The interface must be a serial interface, an Ethernet interface, or the null interface.

characteristic Specifies the characteristics of the packets that are eligible for discard. It must be one of the following:
