OSPF timers
Delay time, 5 seconds; hold time, 10 seconds
This command sets the two types of timers that are important to the
OSPF protocol. delay-time is the interval
in seconds between the arrival of a topology change and the time BGP
starts the shortest path first (SPF) calculation.
hold-time is the minimum interval between
two consecutive SPF calculations. Both timers must be in the range 0
to 65535. Reducing these values may cause the router to switch to a
different path more quickly, but this may be a detriment to
performance; the SPF calculation is CPU-intensive.
