It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Description
This command enables
authentication
for a hot standby group. group specifies
the hot standby group number, and string
sets the authentication string (essentially a password). All HSRP
routers must use the same authentication string in order to
communicate. string can be from 1 to 8
characters long.
