The coefcient A obtained is less than the value of 1.5 obtained by Kennard,

and can be attributed to the fact that Kennard [20] assumed all the electrons

originate from the center of the reference coordinate system with the same

thermal velocity (this agrees with the simulation), in contrast to the more real-

istic situation of random origin of the electrons with a Maxwell–Boltzmann

velocity distribution considered in the MC algorithm used. Bhattacharjee

etal. [18] obtained a factor of 1.25, which is about 2% higher than the one
