So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
best approach is usually to filter the contents of the target table to produce some man-
ageable subset. There is functionality to filter data in Microsoft Access, in which the
sample application is written. If such functionality is not available in the software
environment used by the rules designer, then something will have to be implemented.
Search functionality that can filter records is not too difficult to create. Where
dates are part of the primary key, it is possible to ask the user to input a date range.
Otherwise, the description column for any table is identified in the Column table by
the attribute Column Description Indicator (COL_DESC_I). The user can be asked
to input a search string that can then be used to search the corresponding column ...
