Of course, if an entire process is to have its rules rewritten, the only safe way to

proceed may be to make the changes in a quality assurance environment and test

them there. However, the need to rewrite the rules for an entire business process

should be comparatively rare. Indeed, why this would ever need to be done is a good

question. If the original set of rules were incorrect, why were they allowed into pro-
