One-to-One Marketing
The term one-to-one marketing has been growing in importance over the past few
years. A great deal of it is concerned with components that do not really have any-
thing to do with business rules, such as data warehousing and customer relationship
management. Also, this term often means a lot more than just marketing; it may
encompass a great deal more of the relationship between an organization and its cus-
tomers. As mentioned in Chapter 1, private client banking arrangements often permit
very rich clients to define rules about how their portfolios can be managed. A par-
