This is a drop-down menu to select the CPU package type. By default, the Default (kvm64) CPU type is selected for all VMs. A common use case is when a specific application requires SSE or AVX instructions. By selecting the host CPU type, we can give a VM direct access to the physical CPU.

For the best performance, host type should be used. This way, the VM will be able to access the CPU directly without an emulation layer. This is optimal type in an environment where all nodes are identical. For maximum portability of a VM, it is best to choose the KVM or Qemu CPU types.
