A backup system is only as good as the ability to restore the backup. Both the backing up and restoring can be done from a single menu under the virtual machine named Backup. It also allows backups, browsing, and manual deletion of any backups. All these are done from a single interface with a few mouse clicks. Due to the importance of a backup strategy in a virtual environment, we will take a look at the Proxmox backup system in detail in Chapter 13, Back Up and Restore Virtual Machines. This menu is usually used to manually perform a backup task for a particular VM.
