The OS tab
The OS tab is used to select the type of guest operating system that will be installed on the VM. This type of selection allows the VM to be aware of the intended operating system and adjust the architecture based on the OS selected. In our example VM, we have selected Linux 4.X/3.X/2.6 Kernel, as shown in the following screenshot:
To achieve maximum performance and stability, it is highly recommended you select the proper OS type.
