Issue – the Upgrade button is disabled on the Proxmox GUI, which prevents the node upgrade
There are three common reasons why the Upgrade button could be disabled on the Proxmox GUI. Check the following alternatives to fix this issue:
- If the node does not have a valid subscription, ensure that the pve-no-subscription repository is added. For Proxmox repository information, visit the link: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Package_repositories.
- Refresh the browser cache to reload the graphic interface.
- A very basic mistake, but not unheard of, is to make sure that the root user is logged in to facilitate the upgrade. The Upgrade button is only visible when you log in with the root privilege.
