To Go or Not to Go?

We have left this discussion on whether to proceed or not until this last chapter of Part II, Project Blastoff. However, that does not mean that any project should leave it until late to decide whether going forward is the right option. To go or not to go is a question that should be asked early and often.

Back in Chapter 5, we discussed goals-scope-stakeholders. Right there is a point at which you have an idea as to the viability of the project and whether it is sensible to proceed. Again, when you look at the real problem to solve, you must ask if this is the right problem to solve. Does anybody really need this? Or should you be looking at another part of the business for a more advantageous opportunity?
