So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

In the years since the third edition of this book came out, much has happened. America has had three presidents; the United Kingdom got through five prime ministers; electric cars, some of them capable of autonomous operation, became mainstream; the Large Hadron Collider came online; we had the COVID-19 pandemic, which gave rise to remote working; personalized medicine advanced significantly; wireless earbuds became ubiquitous; social media and smartphone apps had explosive growth; smart homes let people turn on the oven remotely; fortunes were made and lost on crypto currency; and online dating brought automation to romance.
