Many video producers have music in analog format that they want to include in their Movie Maker projects. To use music stored in analog format, you must convert it to digital files. One excellent tool for this task is Microsoft's Plus! Analog Recorder, a component of the Microsoft Plus! Digital Media Edition (DME), available for $19.95 at www.microsoft.com/windows/plus/DME/dmehome.asp. The Plus! suite also includes Photo Story, a cool tool for creating slide shows (see Appendix B for more information).
If you use another tool to rip your CDs, make sure you save the audio in a format that Movie Maker can import—and think of WMA as the default format.
