So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 9. Trimming and Assembling Your Movie
Once you've captured your video, still image, and audio assets, you will have created a huge collection of files—usually far more than you'll want to include in your final production. The next steps are to cut out the fat and assemble the basic pieces of your project, all of which you do in the Storyboard/Timeline window.
You can and should do some of this cutting in the Contents pane, as discussed in “Working with Audio and Video in the Contents pane” in Chapter 8. In the Storyboard/Timeline window, you finalize this work, assembling all content into a cohesive production.
