OracleAS Portal is certainly not the only portal product on the market today. Microsoft sells a portal product called SharePoint, JBoss has a product called JBoss Portal, and IBM sells a product called WebSphere Portal. While all of these products have different philosophies and methods in relation to portlet development, page design, administration, and security, they all share one common feature: the ability to manage files that don’t fit into a traditional database structure.
