Creating Users

To create a new OracleAS Portal user, follow the process mentioned earlier in this chapter—log in to your portal as a user with administration privileges (like portal or orcladmin), click the Administer tab on the top right of the page, and then click the Create New Users link in the top right. You will see a page similar to the one shown Figure 10-2.

NOTEUsernames in OracleAS Portal are not case-sensitive; however, they are stored in the LDAP directory in the case in which they were entered. Hence, if you access the LDAP directory directly, you must be aware of the case that was used to create the user in the first place.
