Using the Log Loader
Inevitably, you will get an error message when working with OracleAS Portal. Was the message generated by portal itself, or the Java portlet that was in the process of being rendered? Maybe it was the database, or a network message. Without some sort of logging system, it would be almost impossible for OracleAS Portal administrators to find error messages quickly and fix them.
The Oracle Enterprise Manager Application Server Control has a link at the bottom of all of its pages, named Logs. Clicking this link takes you to the View Logs page of the ASC (Figure 9-31).
