Step 2: Install the Portal Add-in for JDeveloper

The installation of the portal add-in is relatively simple. Shut down Oracle JDeveloper if it is running and issue the following command from a command prompt:

java –jar portal-addin-install.jar <JDeveloper home>

For example, if Oracle JDeveloper was installed in the c:\oracle\jdev1012 directory, your command would look like this:

java –jar portal-addin-install.jar c:\oracle\jdev1012

You should see output similar to the following:

Installing "/opt/jdev/10g/jdev/lib/ext/portal-addin.jar"Installing "/opt/jdev/10g/jdev/lib/ext/wsrp-container.jar"Installing "/opt/jdev/10g/jdev/lib/ext/oracle-portlet-tags.jar"Installing "/opt/jdev/10g/jdev/lib/ext/ptlshare.jar"Installing "/opt/jdev/10g/jdev/lib/ext/pdkjava.jar" ...
