Experienced employees usually do not follow procedures because of the frequency
of application. Although experienced employees generally do not need to follow a
procedure, they should follow a checklist. Even though they may have performed
the task numerous times, experienced employees are still susceptible to committing
a skill-based error, and because of this, checklists that reect the key steps of a pro-
cedure should be used.
