So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
140 SAN Multiprotocol Routing: An Introduction and Implementation
For a simple one router FC-to-FC routing fabric, we perform the following
procedure:
1. Physically install the router into a rack and turn it on.
2. Set up IP connectivity using the serial port.
3. Use WebTools to perform the following tasks:
a. Install the appropriate licenses where required.
b. Select appropriate ports to be used as EX_Ports or inter-fabric links, and
ensure that they are stopped and disabled.
c. Configure the selected ports as EX_Ports.
d. Physically connect the router through these configured ports to each of the
separate SANs.
e. Enable and start the selected ports.
f. Use the FC-FC Routing panel in Switch Manager to confirm that the edge
