I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
The data grid
The data grid is a tabular view of the imported data (the default display is a view of the first 1,000 records). The data grid is displayed in the following screenshot along with a sample of the records:
You can rename columns by double-clicking on their names as shown in the following screenshot:
After connecting to a data source, Tableau automatically identifies the data types of columns. Occasionally, columns will be incorrectly classified. For example, Tableau might interpret a field that contains dates as an integer data ...
