Hierarchies provide a good way to visualize data at a high level and then drill down to deeper details if needed. Common examples of hierarchies are date hierarchies ( Year, Quarter, Month, and Day), location hierarchies (Country, State, and City), or a Product Category and Product Subcategory hierarchy. To create a hierarchy, click on the dimensions you want to add to the hierarchy, for example, Category and Sub-Category, then right-click Hierarchy and select Create Hierarchy. To add to a pre-existing Hierarchy, select Add to Hierarchy:
