So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Working with data types
If you have worked in data analysis before, you know how important it is to work with the right data types. Tableau allows users to make all the common data type conversions in a few different places. We will discuss data types in much more detail in the coming chapters but just remember that you can change the type of data in the metadata panel. The available data types in Tableau are presented in the following table:
