I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Hierarchies
Hierarchies help to organize data in the Data pane. They also make it easier for users when drilling down in visualizations. In the following example, we are creating a geographical hierarchy. First, right-click the Country field and select Hierarchy:
Once Country is under the Geography Hierarchy folder, three additional fields were dragged under the Geography Hierarchy folder—State, City, and Postal Code. The following screenshot shows that when Country is placed in the Rows shelf, a +/expand icon appears. When a user clicks on this, the next item in the hierarchy will populate (State) and so on.
