BRUSH-BASED TOOLS—anything from a paintbrush to an eraser to a stamp—are used frequently in Photoshop, so it’s important to get a good handle on how these tools work. As I mentioned in Lesson 9, you can select the Brush tool by pressing B on your keyboard. When you do so, you’ll notice that your brush is set to a specific size (Figure 11.1). You can regulate the size and hardness of the brush in the Options bar at the top of the workspace. Click on the second drop-down menu from the left to open the Brush Preset picker (Figure 11.2).
