IN THE DETAIL panel (third icon from the left under the histogram) you will see that the Sharpening section has four sliders: Amount, Radius, Detail, and Masking. In order to get a good feel for how much to sharpen a picture, I recommend using the Zoom tool to get you to about 100% view (Figure 19.1). Then hold down the spacebar to temporarily access the Hand tool, and move the picture around to see how sharpness is going to be applied to a specific area. Okay, now that we’ve covered that, we can turn back to the sliders.
