THE EXPOSURE, CONTRAST, Highlights, and Shadows sliders in the Basic panel can take care of an extremely large amount of processing in your pictures. If I look back at the last 50 shoots I’ve done, I can say pretty confidently that I’ve been able to edit my pictures completely with these four sliders about 80 percent of the time. And the even better news is that they’re pretty straightforward to understand and easy to use.
