WHEN IT COMES to conversations that will cause a little bit of controversy, you can always count cropping to be pretty high among the list of topics. On one side, there are individuals who believe that it is your job as a photographer to try to frame the picture in the camera exactly as you want it to look in the final image, and that cropping is “cheating.” The second camp believes that if there is something in the image that takes away from what you are trying to convey, you should crop to your heart’s delight.

I consider myself to be firmly in the “crop to your heart’s delight” camp, but I totally respect your point ...
