4. OPENING FILES IN PHOTOSHOP

THERE ARE MULTIPLE ways you can open a file in Photoshop, depending on how you get to the Open dialog box and what kind of file you are actually opening. The easiest way to open any file is to go to File > Open and select a file from the list. You can even select multiple files to open at the same time. Each file will open in its own tab in the Photoshop interface. You’ll see the tabs directly under the Options bar (Figure 4.1).

To close a file, click on the X to the left of the name in the title bar, or select File > Close. You can close multiple files at once by selecting File> Close All. This will close every file ...
