2. CUSTOMIZE YOUR TOOLBAR

JUST LIKE A pilot needs to understand how to navigate his or her plane, you’re going to need to understand how to work the controls in Photoshop. All of the controls that you will be using are located in the toolbar on the left side of your interface (Figure 2.1). If you hover over an icon in the toolbar, the name of the tool and its corresponding keyboard shortcut will be displayed (Figure 2.2). For example, if you hover over the Move tool, you’ll see that its keyboard shortcut is the letter V, so pressing the V key on your keyboard switches you to that tool—pretty straightforward.
