THIS IS WHERE WE get into the color management aspect of printing. In Lesson 57, I discussed different types of photo papers. This information is going to be very handy as you start working with the print job because it dictates how you send all of the information to the printer from a color standpoint. When you’re printing an image, the printer needs to know what type of paper you are using—soft paper versus resin-coated paper, glossy paper versus luster paper, and so on. Just because the printer can spit ink onto the page doesn’t necessarily mean that all paper will accept the ink in the same way.
