7 A DEEP DIVE INTO AGILE AND LEAN
Imagine a backpack filled with your work laptop, notebooks, maybe even a packed lunch. When you reach for your backpack, you are also reaching for everything contained in it. Words are like the backpack for ideas. We apply labels to hold many attributes of large and sometimes complex concepts. ‘Hero’ might include courage, bravery, selflessness. But there’s a catch. Sometimes the word gets so overloaded it can bring both good and bad. It can be inclusive and it can be divisive. The word gets weighed down by all the extra things it can mean. That feels like where we are with ‘agile’.
