In the Beginning section we talk about the first rule of enterprise architecture being that we don’t talk about enterprise architecture, but instead use an architected approach.
It is easy to do enterprise architecture without telling others about the processes and models being used. No senior executive wants to see all the connections you make, or all the detailed models. They are interested in the outcomes first, and then the evidence – but only for issues they recognise. If they don’t recognise the issue, but you believe it is important, then your priority is to bring the issue to the table.
