CONCLUDING DOING – THE DO’S AND DON’TS
It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting or have a steady delivery cadence. We believe you should keep doing three things and avoid three others:
Do get out and about. Learn your business and make connections. draw, draw, draw (if only for yourself). You may end up with a business rich picture worth keeping, but at the very least you will really understand how the organisation works.
Don’t repeat what you were doing in your previous organisation or get dragged down into the first solutioning need that comes your way. A common problem when you are new in the role is feeling like you need to ‘do’ something concrete and immediately useful.
