13 MANAGING THE DATA
In the Beginning section we discussed the challenge of having a lot of data to assimilate and understand. It is easy to get lost in the volume. In addition to documents in many formats you will collect lots of lists about the ‘things’ in your organisation important to enterprise architecture. As we discussed earlier, the relationships between the things (or entities, as we will call them) is often more important than the entities themselves. Which applications are used in which processes? Which initiatives are supporting which business outcomes?
